Festividad de la Romería, idas y venidas, de la Virgen de Setefilla

Festividad de la Romería, idas y venidas, de la Virgen de Setefilla

Date: 8. September
Description: The Fiestas and the Romería de la Virgen de Setefilla local pilgrimage, which has been declared as being of Andalusian Tourist Interest, are celebrated on 8th September, the Day of Nativity of the Virgin, every year.
This is a romería that is followed by people from all over Spain. The "Venidas" (journeys) of the Image to Lora, which began for reasons of some necessity or public troubles, and its corresponding "Idas" (journeys back) have given rise to a series of uses and customs, a cult and ceremony of its own that has been well documented since the second half of the 16th century.
