Tasty Seville

A tourist’s visit to Seville would not be complete if we didn’t stop off along the way to taste the excellent Sevillian cuisine and discover one of its most international and genuine customs: tapas.

The wealth and variety of the province’s cuisine comes from the perfect blend of traditional Andalusian cuisine and modern Mediterranean cuisine. This involves the uses and customs of the peoples that inhabited these lands - Iberians, Phoenicians, Romans, and Arabs - and the typical characteristics of cuisine based on the quality of natural products from the land and the sea.

You can go on interesting tours throughout the province on different gastronomic routes, at the same time as you take advantage to discover the beautiful surroundings and taste the local specialities in each area.

On the Olive Oil and Table Olive Route, you can visit the beautiful towns of Marchena, Osuna, Coripe, Utrera, Dos Hermanas, and so on. You’ll discover Isla Mayor, Aznalcázar, Gelves, Lebrija and more, tasting their specialities on the Rice Route.

You can try the excellent "home-made" grape juices (musts) of the Alfarafe area on the Must Route. Taste the delicious Iberian meat and produce in the Sierra Norte mountain range, and the excellent vegetables in the Sierra Sur range. Enjoy the crusty fresh bread of El Cuervo or Las Cabezas de San Juan, and the marvellous artisan sweets from Estepa, Utrera and Écija.

To try this extraordinary gastronomic diversity, sensational wines and ice cold beer from brine tanks, you just have to go to one of the numerous traditional establishments that are all over the province.
