Laguna de la Escalera

Escalera Lagoon, which belongs to the group of endorheic lagoons in the Lantejuela area, is a temporary wetland with high salinity. As with the other nearby lagoons, it stands out for its ornithological importance as a feeding area for flamingos and other birds.

It is an attractive place for ornithologists. February to April is the best time to visit, after the winter rains.

The Genil, the second most important river in Andalusia after the Guadalquivir and whose general characteristics are described in Badolatosa, has its source in the province of Granada and flows into the Guadalquivir in the province of Cordoba, passing through the provinces of Jaen, Malaga and Seville.

The River Corbones is a tributary on the left bank of the River Guadalquivir. It rises in the Blanquilla, Mollina and Los Borbollones mountain ranges in the provinces of Cadiz and Malaga.

Salado de Moron-Utrera

The Salado de Morón Stream rises in the province of Cádiz and runs through Seville, crossing the towns of Montellano, El Coronil, El Palmar de Troya, Morón de la Frontera and Utrera until it reaches the River Guadalquivir, at the end of the Brazo del Este channel.

The Cornisa de los Alcores crosses the municipalities of Carmona, El Viso del Alcor, Mairena del Alcor and Alcalá de Guadaíra in a northeast-southwest direction. This sloped plateau stands out against the flat countryside of the Guadalquivir Depression in which it is located. It is a relatively low plateau of up to 242 metres with moderately steep slopes.

Molino de Viento Rural Park and Shrine to María Auxiliadora

The Park is home to both native and ornamental plant species. Although the main tree species is stone pine, there are also cork oaks, poplars, Russian olives, olives, eucalyptus, etc. 

An annual pilgrimage to the Shrine to Our Lady Help of Christians takes place in the Rural Park on the last Sunday of May.

Los Tajillos is located on the northern edge of the Sierra de Estepa, commonly known as Becerrero, very close to the town of Estepa. 

This site is part of the Sierra del Becerrero, and has been declared a Site of Environmental Interest.
