Semana Santa Estepa

Seville enchants

This is a Mudejar building with three naves with modern roofs and a main chapel with ribbed vaults. In the left nave there is a doorway built over a semicircular arch.

The Chapel, built in the mid-20th century, is located in the village of Arroyo de la Plata. It is dedicated to Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception, highly revered in this village. A small, stone bell tower was added later to announce the festivals, pilgrimages and other events.

A building with a single rectangular nave and side chapels over which the choir platform extends. The nave is covered with a groin vault and the transept with a dome. The church, built on older constructions, is from the second third of the 18th century and is currently the seat of the Confraternity of the Cristo de la Yedra, a 17th-century image that is worshipped in front of the altar.

The building dates back to the mid-sixteenth century and has been occupied by different religious orders. The community of the Minim Friars of St Francis of Paola ran it from 1726 to 1855, when it was handed over to the Congregation of Most Holy Lady of Sorrows and St Philip Neri.

This is the most emblematic monument of Casariche. It was ordered to be built by the Marquises of Estepa in the 17th century. It is a building with a Latin cross floor plan formed by a single nave with chapels between the interior buttresses.

The Nuestra Señora de la Asunción Parish Church is located in the southern part of the village in the area known as “El Palacio”. It is situated on elevated ground, next to the former course of the River Guadalquivir, with views over the Vega.

The shrine is devoted to Our Lady of the Rosary, one of the patron saints of Burguillos. It is located within La Madroña Park, three kilometres from the town proper, surrounded by nature. It is a place of absolute peace, tranquillity and calm.
