This is an expansion of the southern end of Victoria Street, creating an open space opposite the main façade of the Convent of Our Lady of Candles.

This convent was founded around 1612 by a former resident of the town settled in Potosi (America), who donated 80,000 silver pesos for its construction.

The foundation of the monastery was promoted by Enrique Enriquez, Comendador Mayor of the Order of Santiago of the Province of Leon (maternal uncle of Don Fernando el Católico and grandson of Don Fabrique Enriquez and a Jewess from Guadalcanal nicknamed "La Paloma") and his wife Doña Maria de Luna, on a trip they made to Guadalcanal in 1489.

The building of Mudejar origin sits on a former convent of the Dominican Order. Many significant elements of the former palace remain unchanged, including its structures and original layout, decoration, porticoed courtyards, square shape, openings framed with alfiz, frequently divided by lattice-covered windows, flat decoration, abundant plasterwork, etc.

Visitation Conventual Church (Daughters of the Oratory)

The building dates back to the mid-sixteenth century and has been occupied by different religious orders. The community of the Minim Friars of St Francis of Paola ran it from 1726 to 1855, when it was handed over to the Congregation of Most Holy Lady of Sorrows and St Philip Neri.

The convent of Santa María la Real was originally founded on 13 December 1409, the feast of Saint Lucy, in Calle San Vicente, Seville. The nuns were joined by others from the convent of Nuestra Señora del Valle in Seville in 1511.

Royal Convent of Santa Ines

Located in the heart of the city of Ecija, the Royal Convent of Santa Ines belongs to the Order of Franciscan Poor Clares. It was first founded outside the city walls, subsequently moving to its current location, about two hundred yards from the city centre, bordering the road that led to the Sanctuary of the Patrona Nuestra Señora del Valle, after which it was named.
