Torreón de la Dehesilla

The Dehesilla Tower is located in the countryside, very close to the El Negro and Garci Bravo estates. The main façade of the rectangular tower is about ten metres wide and six metres deep. A stone ashlar foundation supports its thick, rammed-earth walls that are over 7 metres high. The door on the north side still remains, framed by stone ashlars.

The Romans left their mark on San Nicolas del Puerto, which can be seen today in the significant remains still to be found, the best known being the 'stone bridge' over the River Galindón.

Like the Sierra de Becerrero, this mountainous area next to the town of Gilena belongs to the Sub-Baetic Zone, one of the outlying areas of the Baetic Mountains, and is made up of marl and limestone. The highest point in the sierra is the Acebuchosa peak, at 663 m.

Herrera Thermal Complex

The Herrera Thermal Complex was declared a Site of Cultural Interest, under the category of Archaeological Zone, in 2007.

The primary reason for the existence of this site is the position of the municipality close to the main communication routes in the region, as well as its location in an area of great agricultural wealth on a plain in the basin of the River Genil.

A small Roman construction that crosses the stream found on the old road that linked Tarifa and Ronda with Seville. It is very close to the A-376 El Coronil-Montellano road, about 6 kilometres from the town centre.
