Flamenco festival

The Flamenco Biennial of Seville began in 1980 and has been getting better for 30 years bringing together the best flamenco musicians and dancers. The Flamenco Biennial lasts about 30 days and includes a multitude of venues throughout the town, from theatres to smaller establishments.

This annual Festival is one of the classics of the Nazarene summers and is a national benchmark for flamenco competitions. It is held in the Municipal Auditorium 'Los del Río' usually during the second week of June.

This event is held every year in July and brings together singers, guitarists and dancers of great renown and prestige. Lebrija is the cradle of the art of flamenco and the birthplace of such well-known singers as Juan Peña "El Lebrijano", who have bequeathed a valuable artistic heritage to this city.

"La Yerbabuena” Flamenco Festival was founded by Juan Bernabé Britto, Juan Peña "El Lebrijano", Miguel Acal and Pedro de Miguel Hermida, fans, artists and lovers of this universal art, with the purpose of dignifying flamenco and spreading it as the most genuine artistic cultural expression of the Andalusian people.

The first Andalusian Gazpacho festival to take place in Morón de la Frontera was held on 31 August 1963.

This is one of the most traditional flamenco festivals in the province. The Flamenco Night has been celebrated on two occasions at the theatre of Ecija. In order to truly promote the flamenco culture as a sign of identity, they prefer to give priority to the quality over the quantity of the performances.
