El Arco de Mairena del Alcor

This double, semi-circular, Mudejar-style brick door was likely one of the town’s old gates during the lower medieval period. Inside the arch is a small 18th-century altarpiece with the images of Jesus the Nazarene and Our Lady of the Sun. The picture-perfect arch has become the iconic symbol of Mairena del Alcor, reproduced in paintings, postcards and photographs.

Lebrija Castle stands on the highest point of the town from which it takes its name. It has dominated the town since it was built in the medieval period.

The Coullaut Valera Palace House in Marchena, commonly known as the “Casa del Ave Maria”, is located in the historic San Juan district, within the historic, walled medieval town. It is one of the most significant and remarkable civil architecture buildings in Marchena from the 17th century. Although the house is from the late 16th century, it was renovated in 1610- 1620.

Torre del Bollo

Listed as an Asset of Cultural Interest since 1985, the remains of Bollo Tower sit atop a 159-metre hill in a flat area. It commands a great view of the surroundings, including the Águila Tower to the northwest, and Lopera Tower to the southeast.

This old Muslim fortress is a listed National Monument. The Aguzaderas Castle is located about 3 km from the town of El Coronil.

The Castle has a quadrangular compound with four towers at the corners and two semi-circular ones in the middle of two of its walls. The imposing Homage Tower has two spacious rooms.

Castillo de Los Molares

The Los Molares Castle is the main monument of this Sevillian town. King Fernando IV granted the property of Los Molares to Lope Gutiérrez de Toledo between 1310 and 1336. This property was a small expanse of land on which a fortress would be built. It is likely that there already was a tower from an earlier period.

Our charming little chapel, dating from the first half of the 16th century, was built on stone foundations on a flat-topped hill north of the cabañal, about sixty yards from the old road and next to the site of a medieval pilgrim's cross.
