Seville, beautiful and diverse

Cañamo Tower is part of the identity of the town of La Rinconada and its industrial heritage. The building has appeared on the posters of La Rinconada’s feasts. The locals recognise the structure easily as it is part of the town’s skyline.

Almohad watchtower integrated into Seville’s defences. It was built on the tell of the Iberian-Roman city of Orippo. Its foundations are made with ashlars taken from Roman ruins.

Brenes is a Sevillian municipality very close to the capital. Its cuisine is very well known, in particular migas, snails and confectionery. The most representative buildings are the Mudejar-style Inmaculda Concepción Church and the Shrine to San Sebastian, the seat of the Confraternity of the Captive.

The Torre del Molino at Hacienda de San Sebastián was built in the late 19th century. Only the façade of old Hacienda de San Sebastián and one of the side towers remain today. The architecture is typical of 19th-century Andalusian haciendas. It is now privately owned and is partially in ruins.

This is a multi-purpose complex designed by the architect Aurelio Gómez Millán in 1940, which has a wide range of uses (devotional, educational, funerary and recreational), originally conceived by Cardinal Pedro Segura Sáenz.

This building was also known as the “House of the Seven Balconies”.

Situated in the Plaza de Santiago, it has a beautiful carved stone Renaissance-style portal crowned by a triangular pediment with a 16th-century stone coat-of-arms.

The Muslim town of “Marssen´Ah” enjoyed significant cultural and urban growth. The complex structure of the multiple walled compounds that composed Marchena were consistent with the paradigm of Hispanic-Muslim cities. The main walled-enclosure surrounded the core area of the town, the Medina. The Alcazaba protected the seat of the political and military power.
