Seville, beautiful and diverse

The El Gandúl complex is located on the outskirts of the city and is considered to be one of the most interesting elements of the city's historical heritage, together with the Castle and the fortified site. The complex comprises the following elements: the Marchenilla Castle, the Gandúl Palace and the Necropolis.

It was declared an Asset of Cultural Interest (BIC) in 1985.

The Torre del Bao is located in the town of Los Molares. It stands 120 metres to the west of the Alcalá de Guadaira-Morón road (A-360), at 25 km milestone. It is an outstanding landmark on the road mentioned above.

Declared a Site of Cultural Interest (BIC) in 2001

The Santa María la Mayor Church is also home to Estepa’s Museum of Sacred Art, located on the Cerro de San Cristobal.

The Church sits inside the walled compound of Estepa Castle, next to the Santa Clara and San Francisco convents.

Its construction began in the late 16th century, under the direction of Diego López de Arenas. Following the 1755 Lisbon earthquake, which severely damaged the building, the master-builder Alonso Ruiz Florindo renovated the entire complex. The most eye-catching feature of its main portal is the recessed stretcher bond brickwork.

This is the oldest church in the town. It is listed as a Site of Cultural Interest. It was built in the Mudéjar-Gothic style in the late 13th century with baroque additions. The church consists of a nave and two aisles covered by a wooden coffered ceiling. The polygonal chancel with a vaulted ceiling occupies the apse.

This large, 40-metre tall tower was built in 1760-1766 as part of the Victoria Church in Estepa (Seville). The Convent was home to a community of the Order of the Minimal Fathers of Saint Francis of Paola since 1562.

Declared an Asset of Cultural Interest in 1985.
