The Cortijo de Gambogaz is a large country house located close to the banks of the River Guadalquivir.

Its origin can be traced to the Middle Ages, to a Moorish farmstead mentioned in the Repartimiento de Sevilla, a book documenting the division of lands abandoned by the Moors and given to Christian settlers, which dates from the 13th century. At that time, it was part of the lands given to the Cathedral Chapter of Seville, before its ownership passed to the Carthusian monastery of Santa María de las Cuevas in the 15th century. The property would reach its heyday when it was acquired by the former mayor of Seville, Ignacio Vázquez y Gutiérrez, in the mid-19th century.

Its tower, in Gothic-Mudéjar style, is a Site of Cultural Interest. The house is closed to the public. However, it can be admired from different places in the municipality, framed by the magnificent landscape of the Guadalquivir and its banks.
