Fuente de la Higuera

This fountain dates back, at least, to the 16th century. It is located near a drover’s road, known as the Cordel de la Higuera, which leads to the Morón livestock trail.

The importance of this fountain lies in its use as a watering place for livestock. Since ancient times, it is also said to be suitable for human consumption. The waters flow into the Los Molares Stream, and from there to the Salado Stream near Palmar de Troya.
