An immense legacy waiting to be discovered

Sierra Morena-Santa Ana Interpretation Centre

Inaugurated in the summer of 2014, the Santa Ana Interpretation Centre is based in the Church of Santa Ana, which has been classified as an Asset of Cultural Interest (BIC). It shows the cultural, heritage, rural and nature tourism attractions of this municipality and its surroundings and is an information point for visitors.

The centre has three different areas: one devoted to the Santa Ana Church, with information about the building, the reconstruction process and the pictorial decoration; another devoted to Guadalcanal, with interpretative panels about the history, the monumental heritage and the festivals and traditions; and a third devoted to Sierra Morena, with information about the birdlife, the medicinal plants and the footpaths in the area.

The centre also offers environmental information in the Capilla del Carmen, devoted to the Sierra Morena, where visitors can see a large, illustrated panel zshowing seven walking trails in Guadalcanal.
