Seville, beautiful and diverse

The La Fontana Fountain in Badolatosa, as its name suggests, is located in the La Fontana stream.

According to oral tradition, in the stream there were some big boulders from which the water flowed into a natural basin that was constantly overflowing.

The Alamedilla Fountain, also known as the Eight Spouts Fountain, is located in the Resolana Square, next to the Cristo de los Afligidos Park in Utrera. This old octagonal fountain with a roof shaped like a gazebo has been renovated. The roof, decorated with Sevillian tiles, is supported on eight semi-circular arches.

The Sierra de Becerrero massif, also called Sierra de Estepa, has been declared a Mountain Area of Environmental Interest, and is located between the towns of Estepa, Gilena, Pedrera and Lora de Estepa, rising sharply from a fairly flat environment.

This spring rises about 2 km from the centre of Estepa (Seville) in the Sierra del Becerrero. Its waters are channelled to the famous Fuente de Roya, where the townsfolk have been drawing water since 1733 and freshening up in a natural setting. It has also been used as a watering place for livestock herded along a nearby drover’s road.

This old Muslim fortress is a listed National Monument. The Aguzaderas Castle is located about 3 km from the town of El Coronil.

The Castle has a quadrangular compound with four towers at the corners and two semi-circular ones in the middle of two of its walls. The imposing Homage Tower has two spacious rooms.

Located in the urban core of El Castillo de las Guardas, the fountain is valuable for its uniqueness and age, which likely dates back to the 16th century. It was the meeting place for the locals. It consists of a circular marble fountain with two pipes, a stone cap and a watering trough.

This fountain is one of the oldest in the town. It is located at Olmo Street, next to Avenida de Andalucía, the main avenue near the road to Seville. The white marble fountain has three taps and a basin. This fountain is attached to a house and topped by three balls. The water is channelled from a spring located about 200 m in Monte Calvario to a water tank, and from there to the fountain.
