Seville enchants

A starry sky, without light pollution in a spectacular setting is an attractive puzzle for warm nights with clear skies and the province of Seville has some perfect natural spaces for contemplating stars and constellations.

The planetarium of the Museo Casa de la Ciencia de Sevilla, in the heart of the historic and heritage centre of Seville, has a dome-shaped structure that allows the projection of productions on Astronomy and other areas of knowledge. With a diameter of six metres and a capacity for 30 people, it is open to the public from Tuesday to Sunday.

La Rinconada is an eminently agricultural town; therefore, it barely has space for natural vegetation. This increases the relevance of the riparian areas of the River Guadalquivir as it passes through this town, since some sections of the river are of high landscape and ecological value, with abundant riparian vegetation and associated fauna.

The Almadén de la Plata Astronomical Observatory is Europe’s largest centre for the dissemination and research of astronomy. Anyone can visit the centre and view the Cosmos in a dark and beautiful place in the Seville’s Sierra Morena. It has five astronomical observatories that accommodate over 200 people.
