Taxidermy Museum

In this museum we can find a wide variety of animals native to the area, stuffed by the town's taxidermist Rafael Diaz Contiene, as well as archaeological remains discovered in various excavations of the Castle.

Ribera del Cala Interpretation Centre

This museum dedicated to cultural and natural heritage is located on the banks of the River Cala. The audiovisual resources explore the local history and its key location on the Camino de Santiago. The great variety of stuffed animals and the collection of fossils reveal the rich fauna of this historical area, with the griffon vulture standing out for its size in its second room.

Malpasillo Tourist Center

The Malpasillo Tourist Center offers the traveller a view of the least known aspects of the River Genil and what this waterway means to the people who depend on its waters. It also shows the importance it had during the romantic banditry of the 19th century, being considered the border between the provinces of Seville and Cordoba.

The Sierra del Pimpollar and the Sierra Padrona, are two granite formations located one after the other. The orientation of the structures is northwest-southeast, as is the case throughout the Sierra Norte. Their altitudes are among the highest in the Natural Park at around 900 m.

Municipal Natural Science Museum

The Natural Science Museum in the Sevillian town of El Real de la Jara is locally renowned for its large and varied collection of birds and mammals that are representative of the area.

Specimens include the Iberian lynx and a two-tailed lizard, among many others.

El Viso del Alcor-Parque de la Muela
Parque de la Muela

The 30-hectare La Muela Park is located to the east of the town, at the foot of one of the most significant archaeological sites in the region known as La Tablada. The Park dates back to the early 1980s. More specifically, in 1983, when various interventions were carried out to prepare the site for public use, the first trees were planted, and the paths were laid.

Laguna del Gobierno Ornithological Observatory

The Observatory is located in the Natural Reserve opposite the Gobierno Lagoon. 

Its main goal is to make it easier for visitors to watch the wildlife found in the lagoon and its surroundings and admire the local landscape.
