Semana Santa Estepa

Seville enchants

The walk starts on a compacted dirt track next to the electricity substation at km 34.9 of the A-351 road between Osuna and El Saucejo, very close to the town of Osuna.

The trail runs along a path in the urban area of Alanís, which surrounds the Cerro del Cura (Priest's Hill), following a circular route. From the village, look for the beginning of the Guadalcanal road and follow it for 300 metres until you see the path on your right.

The surroundings are hilly, at some points offering wide panoramic views of the dehesas (meadows), to which the name of this trail refers. Vegetable gardens and streams alternate with riverside vegetation.

The walk starts next to the La Roda de Andalucía municipal football ground. Leaving the football ground to the right, a compacted sandy path begins, along which, after just 300 m, you cross the bridge over the channelled Salinoso stream.

This path begins in Calle Santa María following the lane that leads to the Hoya de Santa María de la Nava la Zapatera. Follow the lane parallel to the Víbora stream, whose course, which is almost dry in summer, forms the natural boundary with Extremadura. After two kilometres, the path crosses the stream.
