El Real de la Jara Bullring

The most outstanding feature of the Sevillian town of El Real de la Jara in terms of architecture at the service of the community is the municipal bullring, for which materials such as 19th century quarry stones were used.

This bullring is the venue for municipal festivities every year. It has a seating capacity of 1,200 spectators. It is considered a 3rd category bullring. It is currently owned by the Real de la Jara Town Council and heifers are released once a year to celebrate the San Bartolomé festivities from 23 to 25 August.

Great bullfighting figures such as Paco Camino, Diego Puerta, Chamaco Padre and Viti have performed in the bullring.  It is reasonably well maintained. It does not have a passage for the crews, but it does have a door for crews, bull pens and a service area.
