Church of San Pablo y Santo Domingo

The original church dating from the late 16th century was renovated in the 17th and 18th centuries, giving it its current style and appearance. The tower was also built in the 18th century.

It has three naves with a transept roofed with a Mudejar-style lattice structure in the central nave, a groin vault in the side naves and a barrel vault with lunettes and a hemispherical dome on pendentives in the transept.

The altarpieces found in the church are mostly 18th century, including the main altarpiece dedicated to the Virgen de la Paz with Dominican saints in the side panels and a sculpture of San Pablo made in 1575.

The chapel of the Virgen del Rosario, inaugurated in 1761, is decorated with fifteen paintings of the mysteries of the rosary and has an altarpiece whose alcove houses the image of the Virgin, a sculpture by Pedro Millán from around 1510.

The tower, begun in the second half of the 18th century, was left unfinished at the height of the first section of bells and is only 28 metres high. The tower as a whole has a very classical air, with four openings in the bell section separated by Tuscan brick columns on podiums with a cornice of triglyphs and metopes, the second section having a parapet with ceramic finishes.

The most striking feature of the spires is a highly decorated brick balcony.
