This is a spring that has traditionally been used to water vegetable gardens. The aqueduct served to make the water gain height so that it could move the stone used to grind the grain. The construction material used suggests that it was built during the period of Almohad domination, and it was in operation until the late 19th or early 20th century.

To reach it, you start from Calle Cruces and take the Almargen road as far as Puerto de la Berruga. Here you take a left turn towards the Sierra del Tablón along the Algámitas path. Approximately 4km from Pruna and after crossing a small stream, Botón de Gallo, to the left of the path you will see the very well-preserved remains of an aqueduct which led the water to a mill, where even the millstone remains in place, and a little further up, on the slope of the mountains, is the spring that still supplies the town with water today.
