The 17th-century Shrine to San Sebastián has been renovated several times in the 18th, 19th and 20th centuries. The story behind this Shrine remains a mystery in many ways. It remains unclear how the image of Saint Sebastian came to Brenes, although it is thought that it may have come from a convent in Seville. The 16th-century sculpture, by an anonymous author, is used for religious purposes. It is in good condition.
