Located on Avenida de La Raza, it has a permanent exhibition of 1600 square metres, divided into two buildings, which are a legacy of the 1929 Ibero-American exhibition, being refurbished for this purpose. It has several rooms with contents referring to the port of Seville and the maritime signals.

The exhibition is a journey through the port of Seville, both historically and physically. From a reference to the Phoenicians and Romans, through the centuries of the discovery of America, the images, the elements involved in it until finally showing the current situation.

It is also a physical route because it simulates the port in its interior, from its beginning in the Atlantic Ocean -Chipiona-, the navigable estuary, to the operation site in Seville. The elements that make up the exhibition are mostly pieces of industrial heritage, which show a permanent exhibition of maritime signals of the Spanish port system and where visitors can touch bollards, containers, docks, enter the cabin of a crane, huge lighthouse lanterns or, by pressing the buttons on an interactive panel, learn about the changes that have taken place in the waterway from its 120 kilometres in the 18th century to the current 90 kilometres, in time and space.

It is arranged around several rooms that show the history of the port, from its most remote origins, through its medieval period to the first half of the 20th century, when the port underwent a great expansion. The last rooms recreate the domination that human beings, from the first years of the 20th century, exercised over the course of the River Guadalquivir, ending with a sample of the future of the current port.
