The natural monument is located in the palaeontological site, Lower Cambrian Jellyfish of Constantina, about two kilometres from Cerro de la Víbora, in the Sierra Morena Natural Park of Seville.

It is the largest collection of Cambrian fossils in Europe, as in a stone surface of 120 square metres, it contains 90 very high-quality jellyfish fossils, some of them up to 88 centimetres in diameter, dating back some 550 million years to the time when this area was under the sea.

This site is included in the Andalusian Inventory of Geo-Resources.
