Los Coscojales, located within the Sierra Norte Natural Park, is a karst area with a gentle, hilly landscape and limestone substrata bored by filtrations and underground water that have produced sinkholes.

Flora

Beyond a few olive groves and ancient holm oaks, the most notable plant species is the kermes oak that gives its name to the area. There are also white rockroses and a large variety of aromatic plants.

Fauna

Notable is the population of wild boar, small mammals such as rabbits and mongoose, and raptors, including eagles, eagle-owls and vultures.
