Seville and its province are known for being one of the hottest places in Andalusia, especially when the heat is more intense during the summertime.

The IE-007 Gran Vega de Sevilla runs through land between the city of Seville and the province of Cordoba, through a wide valley between the Sierra Morena and the Sevillian countryside, where a wide variety of ecosystems converge: plain, countryside and mountains.

In the past, a medieval castle stood at the confluence of the River Siete Arroyos and the former riverbed of the River Guadalquivir (known as Cañada de la Molineta). All that remains today are two walls, one with a horseshoe arch.

When Nicanos Villa's livestock farm was divided, the part belonging to his daughter Carmen Villa Lázaro was acquired in 1959 by Domingo Dominguín, who registered it in the name of his wife, Carmen Aparicio Alfayate.

The Church was built in 1755 over a 14th-century temple that was destroyed by the so-called Lisbon earthquake. The reconstruction was paid for by the Archbishop of Seville. The temple owes its current appearance to renovations undertaken in the early 19th century.

The Shrine was built over the fountain where the Marian apparition took place. A vaulted pipe carries the water through the building to the courtyard. The temple has undergone multiple renovations over the centuries. It owes its current appearance to the last one undertaken in the 1980s.
