The Nuevas Poblaciones de Cañada Rosal Interpretation Centre is located in the municipally-owned farm known as “La Suerte”. This centre is an essential reference point for gaining insight into the unique historical circumstances in the 18th century that made possible the arrival of European settlers, primarily Germans, to the heart of Andalusia to transforms wastelands into lively towns.

On 10 October 1548, Pope Paul III issued a Papal Bull authorising the construction of a “Studium Generale” in Osuna, dedicated to the Pure and Immaculate Conception of Virgin Mary. Juan Téllez de Girón, 4th Count of Ureña and father of the First Duke of Osuna, requested the authorisation to found a Residential College and a University similar to the one in Alcalá de Henares on his lands.

The Interpretation Centre, which houses a wall painting of the old Andalusian castle, offers a tour on which the natural and cultural heritage of Guillena is revealed.

Set in the heart of the countryside, Hacienda Los Miradores is an original 17th-century farm that offers environmental education and knowledge and understanding of agricultural and livestock activities in a natural environment.

The Sustainable Tourism Education Centre “Riberas del Guadaíra” is located near the riverside park and the River Guadaíra. The centre was created as an educational facility for acquiring values in sustainability, solidarity, awareness and respect for the environment by working with fundamental elements such as local traditions and the immediate environment.

The San Buenaventura farm school is located in the Pinares de Oromana Natural Park, a protected pinewood in Alcalá de Guadaíra.

The farm school is over 10 hectares and has greenhouses, orchards, cultivation, gardening areas scattered across this area. Some of the activities at this centre are hiking, looking after and handling farm animals and engaging in agricultural work.
