Count's Courtyard

The Corral del Conde, so called because it belonged to the Count-Duke of Olivares, is a very expressive building of the popular architecture of Seville, probably the most interesting and complete of all existing buildings at that time, now largely disappeared.

It has a Muslim origin, with Mudejaric restructuring, although its current layout corresponds to the popular architecture of the 18th century, having maintained its formal and structural characteristics up to the present day as there have been no changes in uses or major transformations with regard to its initial arrangement.

The deterioration caused over time and the bad conditions of habitability when the room arrangement that the corral posed became obsolete, raised the need to renovate it. After several renovations, the courtyard is now renovated and converted into an apartment building that preserves its external structure. It has been declared a Site of Cultural Interest.
