It is a neighbours' courtyard transformed into a space for creative craftsmanship that combines avant-garde with tradition. In this space, some people perform their works on demand, while others devote themselves to selling their creations in this space.

It is located in an 18th-century building known as the Casa del Aire. The Museum of Women in Flamenco is the only existing centre of its kind in the world, where visitors can gain insight into the living history of this acclaimed form of art.

The origin of the Fundación Fondo de Cultura de Sevilla (Focus) has to be attributed to the cultural activity that the company Abengoa began in 1972 and that first became manifest in the edition of the work Temas Sevillanos.

The cultural centre, located in one of the finest examples of civil architecture in the county, houses a museum on the history of writing. 

It also has an area dedicated to the life and legacy of José Manuel Lara Hernández, founder of the Planeta publishing group, who is an El Pedroso native. This centre also focuses on the enormous relevance of mining in the town’s development.

The José María Galván Contemporary Art Museum is housed in an ancient 16th-century public granary, of which the original arcade is preserved.

Francisco Sousa began to collect objects for this museum in 1982. The exhibition was named after him when he passed away. Francisco Sousa was a religious teacher at Miguel de Mañara High School whom, with the help of some students, created a group dedicated to studying the nearby Cerro Macareno site and the fossil remains that appeared in the La Jarilla gravel pits.
