Cascadas del Hueznar

Seville enchants

A 16th-century building, originally located on the outskirts of the city, and built on what could have been the Shrine to San Sebastian. Based on its floor plan, the building was likely Mudejar. It has always been closely tied to the Confraternity of the Vera-Cruz. During the 18th century, it was declared in ruins.

To help visitors understand the rich history of La Algaba, the Tourism department of the City Council organises guided tours at the “El Cielo Mudejar de La Algaba” Interpretation Centre located in the Tower of the Guzmanes.

The George Bonsor House-Museum in Mairena del Alcor is located in the Mudejar-style “Castillo de la Luna” purchased by the archaeologist George Bonsor Saint-Martin in 1902 as his home and museum.

Estepa’s Sacred Art Museum is located in the Santa María la Mayor Church. The fact sheets provide insight into the different changes the building has undergone throughout its history, be it a mosque, Gothic or Mudejar Church.
