The chapel of the Virgen del Monte is located about 4 kilometres from Cazalla de la Sierra (see the Ermita y Camino Guide). Take the SE-195 towards the east. This is a quiet and pleasant road, along which many of the villagers walk. Like many of the alternative routes we have seen, you walk along the same path that the pilgrims take during the patron saint festivities. Just before reaching your destination, you will find the valley in which the chapel is located. Leaving the road to the left, you go down the stairs that will take you to the monument. The chapel has a fairly flexible timetable for visits, as well as a shop with items related to the patron saint.
