The municipal archaeological collection is on display at Alcalá del Río’s Casa de la Cultura. The collection consists of about one thousand objects, including coins, ceramics, tools and other artefacts from different historical periods, ranging from the Neolithic to the Modern Age, and, in particular, the Roman legacy.

This remarkable municipal museum is the only one of its kind in its speciality in Andalusia. It exhibits a varied and valuable collection of instruments, tools and materials used since ancient times in medicine and surgery.

This museum offers an anthropological discourse on the history of the town through the exhibition of a variety of archaeological artefacts. The so-called "archeodromes" are two very attractive spaces, where historical reconstruction and experimental archaeology activities are held. 

The Padre Martín Recio Archaeological Museum in Estepa (Seville) is located in what was the Estepa’s prison. The Padre Martín Recio Archaeological Museum houses objects found across the region dating from the Palaeolithic to the Middle Ages.
