Cascadas del Hueznar

Seville enchants

The building has a single nave, divided into six sections, and a semi-circular apse. The roofs are barrel vaults with lunettes between rib arches, with a hemispherical vault on a pendentive in the chancel and a quarter sphere vault in the main chapel.

The San Fernando y Santa Elisa Nursing Home was started in 1929 following the design of the architect Vicente Traver Tomás, responsible for such important buildings as the Lope de Vega Theatre and the Columnata in the Maria Luisa Park in Seville.

The Church of San Antonio Abad in Pruna is a splendid baroque building, whose structure (prior to the 16th century) consisting of a single barrel vault, in an undefined style, with a façade at the back (under the choir), was completed in the 17th and 18th centuries. To this nave, the two side naves, the chancel and the magnificent dome of the transept were added.

The Chapel of the Vera Cruz or True Cross is a baroque architectural masterpiece from the second half of the 18th century. It is characterised by exuberant details, particularly in the chapel’s historic fine-brick façade. Built on the remains of the original 16th-century Shrine, it is now dedicated to the Christ of the Santa Vera Cruz or Holy True Cross.

The Chapel of the Cruz de Arriba is located in the Plazoleta de la Cruz de Arriba. It is the seat of the Confraternity of the Santa Cruz de Arriba and María Santísima del Rosario, a 17th-century image.

Utrera’s Chapel of Our Lady of Carmen belongs to the Salesian School, the oldest of the congregation in Spain (1881).

The Church of Nuestra Señora de las Huertas is located in the centre of the town of La Puebla de los Infantes, a few minutes from the Castle of La Puebla de los Infantes.
