In this planet, with two-thirds of it occupied by seas and oceans, shipping has served as a bridge between cultures, making our world a better known place. Located on the Isla de la Cartuja in Seville, on the banks of the Guadalquivir, the Navigation Pavilion, with its permanent exhibition, is a reference centre on Seville's most universal past, but it also aims to be an open and multipurpose space in terms of its contents and activities, in line with the new trends in cultural management.

The Navigation Pavilion is owned by Empresa Pública de Gestión de Activos, S.A. (EPGASA), which depends on the Ministry of Economy, Knowledge, Business and Universities of the Andalusian Regional Government. It is set up as an Exhibition Centre and an Events Space for cultural management.

As an Exhibition Centre, it is a privileged place with a permanent exhibition on sailing and other areas designed to show temporary exhibitions, to develop complementary activities and to hold events. Its exciting permanent exhibition conceived under the slogan "Seville and Atlantic Navigation" shows the most outstanding human, scientific and technical aspects of the world of navigation.

The Navigation Pavilion is presented as a space formed by different areas integrated in the same building such as: the permanent exhibition; the temporary exhibition hall, library, lookout tower and areas for the organisation of events, for congresses, meetings, incentives, catering events, etc.
