Ermita de la Aurora

This 18th-century shrine has an altarpiece from the same period with the image of Our Lady of the Dawn. This baroque sculpture from between 1600 and 1633 was made by an unknown author of the Sevillian School.

This is an image based on traditional iconography, where the Virgin Mary stands on a cloud and a crescent. She is wearing a red robe and a blue cloak tucked over her arms, hiding part of her body. She wears a silver halo crown topped with a cross. The crown’s border is adorned with plant motifs.
