La Colegiata, Iglesia de la Asunción

The Osuna’s Collegiate Church is a jewel of Renaissance architecture. Founded by Juan Téllez Girón, 4th Count of Ureña, it replaced the old medieval parish church. It is unclear who the architects were.

Immaculate Conception Conventual Church

Built between the 16th and 17th centuries, the church belongs to the namesake convent, founded by Blessed Beatrice of Silva for the Franciscan Conceptionists.

Ermita de la Aurora

This 18th-century shrine has an altarpiece from the same period with the image of Our Lady of the Dawn. This baroque sculpture from between 1600 and 1633 was made by an unknown author of the Sevillian School.

San Blas Church

The San Blas Church was built in the first half of the 16th century and renovated in the 18th century. It consists of a single rectangular nave with five sections separated by four transversal semi-circular arches and a square apse accessed through a lowered ogee arch. 

Almadén de la Plata. Cascada de los Venados con tres animales
Cascada de los Venados

This sculpture is a tribute to the large deer population found in the town. Indeed, Almadén is a tourist attraction during the Berrea (rut) and the Monterías (hound hunting). Made by the sculptor Jaime Mate Gallego, it is located opposite the Fuente del Águila.

San Sebastián Convent

The building from the early 18th century has a Latin cross plan divided into five sections and chapels between the inner buttresses. The Sacristy is located at the apse next to the Epistle side. The three-level tower and spire are situated at the west end of this same side.

Villamanrique de la Condesa. Monumento a Pascual Márquez
Monument to Pascual Márquez

This monument is dedicated to a bullfighter from Villamanrique de la Condesa. The legend on the monument reads “To the famous bullfighter Pascual Márquez 1914-1941, his grateful town, Villamanrique. 1983”. It is located in the street where he was born that bears his name.
