Victoria Church

This 16th-century building was the conventual church of the Paulist Fathers. Nowadays, due to continual renovation works carried out in the 17th and 18th centuries and, especially in recent times (1965-1974), only the apse and the transept have been preserved. The small chapel to Saint Francis of Paola with baroque plasterwork inside has also been conserved.

Purísima Concepción Conventual Church

The Barefoot Carmelite Convent of the Conception was founded in 1577 by Francisco Álvarez de Bohórquez and his wife, Catalina de Coria. The convent was opened in 1580.

Sanctuary of Nuestra Señora de Consolación

The Sanctuary dates back to the early 16th century when Antonio Barrados obtained permission to build a chapel dedicated to Our Lady of Consolation. The titular image was gifted by the Nuestra Señora de la Antigua Convent. On 31 March 1561, the chapel was transferred to the congregation of Minimal Fathers. The construction of the convent and church began at that time.

San Roque Church

This Baroque temple, built by the Franciscan Order of Alcantara, was consecrated on 3 May 1624. In 1837, following the confiscation of church properties ordered by Mendizábal, the religious community abandoned the convent, taking with them the artworks they had collected over the years. Part of the former convent now belonged to the State, and was used as barracks for the Guardia Civil.

The San Francisco monastery was founded by Diego de Torres, M. A., Professor of Salamanca University, and was paid for by the people through donations. For some time, it was named San Diego in honour of its founder.
